This February, Visuray performed its first external test job in a 2500m well in Germany. The goal of this field test was to evaluate the temperature behavior and the reliability of the VR90 tool under real operating conditions.
During the six days of operation, the team was able to successfully test each of the individual components of the tool. Multiple milestones were achieved during this job, including deepest run to date, highest temperature to date, and largest number of consecutive hours of operation.
Visuray considers its first stage of field testing to have been a success; overall, the results acquired have enabled improvements to be made to the functionality and reliability of the VR90.
